Andy Adams was an American writer whose fiction drew on his experience of the cattle industry. He wrote about cowboys, trail drives and the working life of the American West. Practical details and an understated voice distinguish his stories from more exaggerated frontier romances. His books follow the teamwork, endurance and daily challenges behind the cowboy's adventurous reputation.
