The story of Ebenezer Scrooge, an elderly miser who is visited by the ghost of his former business partner Jacob Marley and the spirits of Christmas Past, Present, and Yet to Come. After the visits, Scrooge is transformed into a kinder, more generous man. The novel has been highly influential on the modern observance of Christmas including family gatherings, seasonal food and drink, and festive generosity.
First published in 1843, this edition is derived from the book published in 1920 with 8 color and 11 black and white illustrations by C.E. Brock. As always, this edition is complete and unabridged.
