A collection of stories part of Marineau’s “Playfellow” series written for children. The book is set in Norway along the fjords in the 1800’s. The adventuresome stories have mythical creatures, pirates, natural wonders, love, fights, and much more. The stories offer a glimpse into life in the north in the 19th century.

First published in 1854, this edition is derived from the book published in 1914 with over 46 black & white illustrations by P. Ebbutt. As always, this edition is complete and unabridged.
