A witty satire of Gothic novels and a coming-of-age story. The novel follows Catherine Morland, a naive and imaginative young woman, who is invited to visit Bath with family friends, the Allens. In Bath, Catherine befriends the charming and manipulative Isabella Thorpe and becomes acquainted with the dashing Henry Tilney and his witty sister, Eleanor.

First published in 1817, this edition is derived from the book published in 1913 with 20 black & white illustrations by Hugh Thomson. As always, this edition is complete and unabridged.
