About

The Penrod Series

A collection of comic sketches in a similar vein to The Adventures of Tom Sawyer by Mark Twain. The book follows the misadventures of Penrod Schofield, an eleven-year-old boy growing up in the Midwestern United States during the early 1900’s. The characters established within the book appear in two further books: Penrod and Sam, and Penrod Jashber.

First published in 1914, this edition is derived from the original book with 44 black & white illustrations by Gordon Grant.  As always, this edition is complete and unabridged.
