About

A Romance of the Jungle

The first book in the Tarzan series, it was initially serialized in the pulp magazine The All-Story in 1912 before being released as a novel in 1914. The story follows Tarzan who is adopted as an infant by apes after the death of his mother and father. Tarzan feels alienated from his adopted family and soon learns of his true origins. The character’s popularity inspired two dozen sequels.

First published in 1914, this edition is derived from the original book with a single black & white illustration. As always, this edition is complete and unabridged.
