The Jungle Book

A collection of stories by Rudyard Kipling about the jungles of India. Many of the characters are animals such as Baloo the bear and Shere Khan the tiger. Kipling was born in India and spent the first six years of his childhood there. The Jungle Book remains popular to this day and has been the subject of many plays, movies, and other adaptations.

First published in 1894, this edition’s illustrations are derived from the original book with over 40 black and white illustrations by W. H. Drake and the book published in 1913 with 18 color illustrations by Maurice and Edward Detmold. As always, this edition is complete and unabridged.
