In Her Own Words

Helen Keller’s autobiography detailing her early life and experiences. Keller was an author, disability rights advocate, political activist, and lecturer. Born in Tuscumbia, Alabama, she lost her sight and hearing after a bout of illness at the age of nineteen months. She then communicated primarily using home signs until the age of seven when she met her first teacher and life-long companion, Anne Sullivan. Anne taught her language, including reading and writing.

First published in 1903, this edition is derived from the original book with 14 black and white photographs. As always, this edition is complete and unabridged.
