About

The Times of Hannibal

The story follows Malchus, Hannibal’s cousin, as he joins Hannibal in his attempt to conquer Rome in the Second Punic War (218-203 B.C.). Hannibal and Malchus must overcome geography, wild animals, and the Rome itself in their quest. As always, Henty does an excellent job of blending fiction with historical facts giving the reader a great story and a better understanding of history.

First published in 1887, this edition is derived from the original book with 12 black & white illustrations by C. J. Staniland. As always, this edition is complete and unabridged.
