When war breaks out on the Spanish peninsula, Terrance receives a commission of ensign and heads to war with his father’s regiment. There are adventures along the way including capturing two French privateers. Throughout the war Terence rises through the ranks due to his bravery, intelligence, and leadership.
First published in 1897, this edition is derived from the original book with 12 black & white illustrations by Wal Paget and 4 maps showing the major battles. As always, this edition is complete and unabridged.
