Penny Whistles

A collection of poetry for children by Scottish poet Robert Louis Stevenson.  The poems were first published under the title Penny Whistles. The collection contains 65 poems with many well known poems such as “My Shadow,”  “Bed in Summer,” and “Foreign Children.” The book is considered one of the most influential children’s work of the 19^th century.

First published in 1885, this edition is derived from the book published in 1909 with over 120 illustrations by Florence Edith Storer. As always, this edition is complete and unabridged.
