Set during the Hundred Years’ War Guy Aylmer has gone to join his father’s old friend, Sir Eustace de Villeroy. Soon Lady Margaret de Villeroy with her children are sent to Paris as hostages for Sir Eustace’s loyalty. Guy goes along with her as her page and body-guard. While in Paris, the butcher’s guild, also known as the “White Hoods” sieze the city and Guy must defend himself and his charges.
