Amusing advice and rhymes for children. The text is accompanied with equally amusing drawings which have been compared to the works seen in Dr. Seuss books. The book is said to be “designed for the Admonition of Children between the ages of eight and fourteen years.” Belloc was a prolific author whose interests ranged from politics and religion to travel and poetry.

First published in 1907, this edition is derived from the original book with 85 black and white illustrations, including the cover, by Basil Temple Blackwood. As always, this edition is complete and unabridged.
