Frederick Ober’s biography of Juan Ponce de León. The book starts with a background of the Ponce de León family in Spain and then covers Juan’s time in the New World. Included is his governorship of Puerto Rico, expeditions to Florida, and his battles with the natives which leads to his eventual wounding and death in Cuba in 1521.
First published in 1908, this edition is derived from the original book with 8 black & white illustrations and photos. Two of the photographs have been updated with modern photos. As always, this edition is complete and unabridged.
