God and Nature

A collection of short stories from the Victorian era written by Margaret Gatty for children. Gatty was fascinated by nature and marine biology in particular. She used this passion to write stories for children intended to convey morality and virtue through both God and nature which the she did not view as separate.

The parables were originally published in 4 volumes. This edition is derived from the book published in 1865 and contains all the parables, the original illustrations and page decorations including 31 full page illustrations. As always, this edition is complete and unabridged.
