The book is followed by the final book in the series, Penrod Jashber. First published in 1916, this edition is derived from two original books with 30 black & white illustrations by Worth Brehm and Gordon Grant. As always, this edition is complete and unabridged.

Booth Tarkington

was an American novelist and playwright best known for The Magnificent Ambersons, Alice Adams, and the Penrod stories. His fiction explores ambition, social position, childhood, and the transformation of American towns. A strong connection to the Midwest gives many of his settings their particular character and sense of place.
