A sequel to the book Penrod, with a focus on the relationship between the main character, Penrod Schofield, and his best friend, Sam Williams. The book follows the comical misadventures of Penrod and Sam, eleven-year-old boys growing up in the Midwestern United States during the early 1900’s.

The book is followed by the final book in the series, Penrod Jashber. First published in 1916, this edition is derived from two original books with 30 black & white illustrations by Worth Brehm and Gordon Grant. As always, this edition is complete and unabridged.
