The children are saved by Jacob Armitage who hides them in his isolated cottage in the New Forest. The children must soon adapt to their new home in the woods.
Originally published in 1847, this edition is derived from the book published in 1888 with over 60 illustrations by Paul Hardy and John Gilbert. As always, this edition is complete and unabridged.
