About

Their Part in the Great War

The Harwich Force originally called Harwich Striking Force was a squadron of the Royal Navy, formed during the First World War and based in Harwich in Essex, England. E. F. Knight was a British journalist, sailor, and writer. He provides an excellent summary of the Harwich Force’s task to secure the approaches to the English Channel and to prevent elements of the Imperial German Navy (Kaiserliche Marine) from breaking out into the Atlantic Ocean.

First published in 1919, this edition is derived from the original book with no illustrations. As always, this edition is complete and unabridged.
