The book continues the saga of Tarzan through his son, Jack Clayton, also known as Korak. When Paulvitch, an old enemy of Tarzan, seeks revenge, he lures young Jack into a trap that brings him to Africa. There, Jack embraces his wild heritage, takes the name Korak the Killer, and grows into a powerful warrior of the jungle. He rescues and protects Meriem, a girl held captive, and the two form a deep bond.
