The story follows the six Bastable children—Dora, Oswald, Dicky, Alice, Noel, and H.O.—as they embark on a series of imaginative schemes to restore their family’s lost fortunes. After their mother’s death and their father’s financial troubles, the siblings take it upon themselves to become “treasure seekers,” trying everything from digging for gold to starting a newspaper.

First published in 1899, this edition is derived from the original book with 17 black & white illustrations by Gordon Brown and Lewis Baumer. As always, this edition is complete and unabridged.
