The Third Crusade

The story centres on the relationship of King Richard of England and Saladin, the Sunni Muslim sultan of Syria. The main characters in the book include many historical figures such as the Scottish knight Kenneth (David of Scotland), Richard I the Lionheart, Saladin, and Edith Plantagenet.

First published in 1825, this edition is derived from the book published in 1842 with 66 black & white illustrations. As always, this edition is complete and unabridged.
