About

Short Stories

A collection of didactic short stories aimed at instilling moral values in young readers. Each tale presents characters facing ethical dilemmas or personal flaws such as vanity, selfishness, pride, or dishonesty. Through realistic situations, Edgeworth emphasizes the importance of integrity, humility, and industriousness. With her clear prose and moral clarity, the collection is designed to educate as much as entertain.

First published in 1802, this edition is derived from the book published in 1874 with 6 black & white illustrations. As always, this edition is complete and unabridged.
